Pink theme
Some major disasters have kicked off my trip: the loss (possibly theft) of the recently acquired Ipod in the course of the pack/move and a massive parking ticket and boot for a car I borrowed for a short while. Great going away present from my town, what? Aaaanyway. I actually managed to get the first cloverleaf sock done amidst all this madness:
It’s a lovely evening here in the city: a massive thunderstorm after a sultry, hot day, and I got to get nicely wet walking in the rain. After tons of errands and promising myself I will *never* ever move again (I have moved house 14 times in the last 18 years, don’t ask), I arrived at a friend’s place, and this is what I am looking forward to later this evening:
I wish I could capture how perfectly the pink in the cosmopolitan matches that in the sock: it is now clear where the inspiration for this particular shade came to the Koigu folks!

Nice! I *have* to admire anyone who can make a wearable sock (or two). Maybe there’ll be a miracle and you’ll find your iPod somewhere in your stash?!
It certainly sounds like you deserve that cosmopolitan.
The socks are beautiful, it’s such a pretty pattern and a gorgeous colour yarn.

That stinks – I hope the ipod re-surfaces! The cloverleaf socks are great! The pink reminds me of cotton candy too! I love the color!

Wow, losing the iPod sucks. My DH once took mine on a trip (before we both had one) and left it in a cab. I couldn’t decide if I felt bad over the loss of the iPod or bad because he was so miserably sorry. And this is right after you knit that lovely cozy for it too. Thank goodness you had the sock to console you.
My philosophy during our recent move was to let things go by a) letting DH do as much as he could things do not have to be perfect, and b) stay slightly inebriated the entire time. This is truly the way to go.
