Happy new year (belatedly, of course)! You knit some wonderful things last year, and I look forward to seeing what you and the numbers come up with this year! I always procrastinate when I need to step back and crunch some numbers, which is why I have a pile of things that need finishing...

Ugh, I know what you mean. I still haven't gotten all my knitting mojo back post-holidays, but I'm trying. I think owning up to it on your own blog is a good step towards curing it (I should, perhaps take my own advice . . .).

I can't wait to see Cobblestone progress--I want to make a women's version myself, but am a little nervous about retooling all the #s.

I just finished my first (and definately not last!) Rangoli hat. Daughter who loves my handknits snatched it up immediately. I used Paton's Classic in paprika (I saw it in the same yarn and color somewhere on the web and totally copied), using size 4 needles for the ribbing and size 5 for the rest of the hat. What a fun pattern! I ended up with 12 stitches instead of 8 at the top, so I obviously did something wrong with the decreases, but it looked fine and I went with it. I made the nupps with a size 8 dpn which made it easier to purl together on the next row. Next time I'd even use a size 9. Thanks for such a great hat pattern. I appreciate the fact that you offered for free too. Now, off to figure out what color/yarn to knit the next one!

I'm feeling a bit belated and mojo-less myself, these days. But your cobblestone looks to be shaping up nicely! What yarn is that? I love the colors.
