Patience

It is hard to feed your online addiction when you have a lot of power cuts. Even harder when your beloved laptop goes belly-up on you, after a sudden, but probably severe illness. It is hardest when you can hear your old and wizened PC snigger as you type.

So, things will be quiet chez Desiknitter for a bit, while we wait to see if the folks at Apple, with their much vaunted global warranty, work a miracle on my Macbook and bring it back to life.

    ditto to above comment+{hugs}
    I totally understand how you feel. Last Christmas I lost stuff on my new laptop when my almost 2 year old niece decided to type. It has since been restored somewhat and DH uses it now.

    Good luck! I hope they can nurse your laptop back to health quickly and cheaply.

    It was bad enough with patchy electricity and dodgy Net connection. Now you have to have membership of that Net cafe next to your yoga class too. Why not give up the cellphone too for a week and then write about the twice-removed state of moksha? Could be termed an e-Vipassana.

    Well, that was quite mean :) (I mean the previous comment). How about just phoning (faxing) it in? I can somewhat understand with two laptops (though vaunted PC’s no less) failing on my currently weeklong trip to India – having gone through Kullu Manali and spent 20 hours (count 20) on the bus from Manali to Delhi via Shimla because there was a landslide or some kind of roadblock near Bilaspur.

    Oh the joys of travel, that is India. I did have a kushy trip from DC to Chicago to Delhi to Kullu all by modern aircraft.

    Hope you will be back in business soon.

    Oh dear, I’m sorry to hear about your laptop. I hope they can get it up and running again. Don’t hate me, but I am sniggering a bit along with your PC–I’m one of those people who are suspicious of Apple (as if the PC’s don’t have just as many problems, LOL)!
